Clifford Connects was initiated in October 2019 and is a grass roots, community led movement to revitalize Clifford!
Clifford has a long history of telephone and communications, along with our community spirit being second to none! To build on this, Clifford Connects will focus efforts around getting connected in Clifford in several key areas: Events & Programming, Beautification, Fundraising and Promotion.
Clifford Connected is a collaboration of key stakeholders in the community. From businesses, residents and service clubs, to local talent and the Town of Minto, this is truly a community led movement! Our goal is to make Clifford a true experience and a unique destination!
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for the overall Clifford Connects movement. The Steering Committee will work directly with Town of Minto staff and the various sub-committees to ensure the overall project is meeting its goals.
Beautification Committee
The Beautification Committee is involved in selecting and installing street tree and public space lighting (Clifford Rotary Celebration Square), coordinating seasonal décor, assisting with colour walls and working with the Events & Programming Committee to create visual photo areas.
Events & Programming Committee
The Events & Programming Committee is responsible for developing year-round programming in Clifford Rotary Celebration Square and working with community groups to encourage them to host their events downtown.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for creating a sponsorship forms, recruiting sponsors and other initiatives to raise funds for Clifford Connects projects.
Promotions Committee
The Promotion Committee is responsible for getting the word out about all Clifford Connects initiatives via web, traditional media, social media, posters, sharing the stories, and acting as ambassadors for the projects.
