Did you know? In 2023, we celebrate the 150th year of #Clifford? That's right! Founded initially as Minto Village in 1855, we were officially incorporated as the Village of Clifford in 1873.

150 KM for the 150TH

Clifford Connects is challenging you to walk 150km between September 17th - November 17th. It's a great way to stay active and connect with your friends and community!


How does it work?

📲Download an app to track your weekly KM's (we recommend MapMyWalk (by UnderArmour - it's free!)

🚶‍♀️Send your weekly total km walked with a screenshot to our email every Sunday.

📢Share our post to say you'll be participating & challenge your friends to do the same!


Everyone who walks 150km by Nov 17th will be entered in a draw to WIN prizes! Winners will be announced at #CliffordChristmasintheStreet on Nov 25th. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶

Clifford Scavenger Hunt


From Sept 17 - Nov 17, participate in the Clifford Scavenger Hunt to WIN PRIZES!


While strolling the streets of Clifford, take the time to not only find the buildings, but take a closer look into Clifford's history through these historic buildings.


The Scavenger Hunt consists of photo taking, questions and answers from the clues given.

Clifford Historical Walk


Walking Tour of Downtown Clifford with local resident, Mark Mackenzie.


🏫: Sept 24th at 1:30pm

📍: Meet at Clifford Rotary Celebration Square


Located in Minto Township which was the last to be opened in Wellington County, the town of Clifford was designated as lots 59 & 60 of Concessions C & D. Crown Lands were sold in 1854 with a hotel and post office opening in 1856. Learn about the early settlers where they lived and the progress they made in this small village.


Mark Mackenzie will showcase about 15 places within a 2 block radius of main street.


Clifford History Chats

Join local historians for chat about Clifford's history.

📍: Clifford Library


Wesley Bates will discuss the printing process and Karen Wagner, Archivist at the Wellington County Museum and Archives will give a brief overview of Clifford's History.
